San Diego - Balboa Park

Museums upon Museums!!!

When you want to have  good time and when you LOVE history as much as I do (A LOT!) I highly recommend going to San Diego; Balboa Park specifically.  This beautiful, BEAUTIFUL park has 17 museums that range from cultural to historical. No only are there so many cool museums, but the park itself is amazing!  The architecture here is ridiculous! GAH! I seriously could walk around here ALL DAY! I was grateful that my amazing boyfriend surprised me with a day he knew I would love.

Now… Some of the museums are free and ask for a small donation, but others you have to pay for.  Something to keep in mind: Plan your desired stops ahead of time. Personally, I recommend The Natural History Museum, The Museum of Air and Space, and The Museum of Man.

I don't remember how old this tree stump is, but it is way older than me!

Making new friends at The Museum of Man!  Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are one of my favorite dog breeds. 

After the museum we went to a Cuban restaurant.  I am part Cuban so it was so cool to eat food from my family culture.  The last stop of the day was La Jolla beach to see all of the seals!  The coolest part had to be that it was pup season so there were so many baby seals (pups) with their moms.  Standing down on the beach moms and babies were trying to swim ashore.  I was so close to them!

Overall this was one of my favorite days ever!  Next time I will go to the rest of the museums I missed!  Such an Amazing day!
