Joshua Tree
The not so Hidden "Hidden" Treasure.....
Joshua Tree National Park is a massive chunk of desert with a bunch of landmarks, campgrounds, history and hidden stories! This has been on of my favorite adventures to date. There was hiking, beautiful scenery and so many amazing stories about the origins of the park... I was in awe! O top of that it was a beautiful day! A nice 70 degrees (give or take a few degrees). The cacti were in bloom, apparently fairly late in the season, and the squirrels were definitely out to play! I was sad I didn't see a big horn sheep, but it was still an amazing day!
These are markings and paintings from a Native American tribe that used to reside here long ago. |
After a long day of visiting ruins and packing my brain with a bunch of fascinating facts and historical knowledge I felt very accomplished and like this trip was a total success! You should check out the Mojave Road website and find out about getting a tour! He also gives a Halloween tour at night through Joshua Tree and haunting stories o all of the lives that have been claimed by this vast desert. Would you dare to do that?
